BEST BLUETOOTH HOVERBOARDS TO PLAY MUSIC WHILE RIDING

SWAGTRON T5880

SWAGTRON T5880

The Swagtron T5880 is the ultimate entertaining hoverboard in the market today. It provides riders with great control and speed and comes with speakers that allow you to listen to your jams as you ride around. It has the capacity to go up to 7.5 mph while also letting you go up steep hill at angles up to 30 degrees. On a full charge the hoverboard can last for up to 8 miles, which is more than most riders go on a trip. Recharging time isn’t too long either, it takes about 1 and a half hour for complete recharge. So if you are looking for a hoverboard that packs power and allows you to enjoy as you ride around then Swagtron T5880 is it.

HOVERHEART HOVERBOARD TWO-WHEEL SELF BALANCING ELECTRIC SCOOTER

HOVERHEART HOVERBOARD TWO-WHEEL SELF BALANCING ELECTRIC SCOOTER

The Hoverheart Hoverboard Two-Wheel Self balancing Electric Scooter is one of the flashiest hoverboard you will find. It is completely decked out with LED lights on the front and back. If you can look past that or maybe you want something flashy, the hoverboard is great on performance also. It comes with speakers so you can blast music as you paint the town red. One thing we didn’t like about the hoverboard is the fact that it takes a little longer for it to charge, roughly 2.5-3 hours.

XTREMEPOWERUS SELF BALANCING HOVERBOARD

XTREMEPOWERUS SELF BALANCING HOVERBOARD

Another flashy hoverboard, the XtremepowerUS Self Balancing Hoverboard will definitely turn heads on the street. If not for the multi-coloured LED lights on the wheels, front and back then definitely the loudness of the speakers it comes with. It isn’t the fastest hoverboard in the market but it does provide enough power to allow you to have a thrilling ride. We really liked the foot pads on this hoverboard as it had a lot of traction and was responsive.

LEVIT8ION HOVERBOARD SELF BALANCING SCOOTER

LEVIT8ION HOVERBOARD SELF BALANCING SCOOTER

The Levit8ion Hoverboard Self balancing Scooter is sub-par as far as performance goes. It is a decent hoverboard in terms of speed with speeds up to 9 mph but we didn’t really like the control of the hoverboard. With that said, it does have a lot of power in the battery as it allows you to ride up to 10-12 miles per charge. That is more than any other hoverboard on our list. So we recommend you fill your phone with your favorite songs and then some if you decide to go with the Levit8ion Hoverboard Self balancing Scooter cause it’s going to be a long ride.

BLUETOOTH HOVERBOARDS DOUBLING AS HOME SPEAKERS

While nice to have on hand, many hoverboards are too bulky to really use as home speakers around the house. These two options have high speaker quality, compact features that won’t take up too much space indoors, and just happen to be able to carry you where you want to go:

1. BLUEFIN HOVERBOARD

This metallic gold hoverboard is sure to be a statement speaker in your house!

2. SKQUE X1L6.5 UL2272 SELF BALANCING SCOOTER

This hoverboard’s compact body makes it a go-to for in-home use.

YOUR SEARCH FOR A SELF-BALANCING SCOOTER WITH BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS IS OVER.

This is what jumps out to my eye when I look at the features of the  Jetson V6 Self-Balancing Scooter with Bluetooth Speakers.

  • The Jetson scooter uses two sensors, along with the wheels to automatically balance itself and the user.
  • It’s water resistant (not WATER-PROOF) so you can use it in wet conditions. This doesn’t mean that you can take it for a spin in during the next hurricane. This is not an off-road scooter, so don’t play with it in mud or water.
  • There’s a Samsung lithium-ion battery.
  • Includes Bluetooth speakers that will sync with your phone so you can play your favorite music while riding the Glyro Turbo.
  • The steel frame and 300 lbs. max weight limit.

Like the other scooters and hoverboards that are currently available, the Jetson V6 Scooter is fast and can move in any direction just by changing your balance while riding. It uses an innovative balance system to help minimise the chances of you falling while riding the V6.

The V6 Smart Self-Balancing Two Wheel Electric smartboard. From Jetson

The Jetson V6 is available in several colors, making it easy to find the color for you.

The Jetson V6 hoverboard's weight limit is 300l lbs..

JETSON V6 SMART SELF-BALANCING ELECTRIC SCOOTER FROM TARGET.COM.

Recently announced as the exclusive brand of Target.com, the Jetson V6 was known as the Glyro Turbo Hoverboard from Jetson Electric Bike Co. I thought the Glyro/Jetson Electric brands had gone out of business. I was wrong, however, and Jetson is now the Target.com in-house brand.

A closer look:

  • 6.5″ smart self-balancing scooter
  • Ten mph top speed.
  • Estimated range approx. 15 mi. on a 2-hr. charge time.
  • Includes the free Jetson RIDE READY-APP
  • Bluetooth Speakers and LED lights
  • Three modes of operation, allowing you to adjust speed and sensitivity to rider’s skill level.
  • It’ll support a rider of up to 300 lbs.

The Jetson V6 hoverboard is very impressive. Built with Samsung components, this is a hoverboard that should perform very nicely.  It includes Bluetooth speakers, LED lights. Several modes of operation, a hoverboard app for iOS and Android (once I get a download link, I’ll include it here).  It’s also one of the only hoverboards with a weight limit of 300 lbs.

The Jetson V6 is only sold online at Target.com

WHO SHOULD BUY A JETSON V6?

The Jetson V6 has raised the standard (at least so far) for what you should expect from any hoverboard that you buy.  For $400, you’re getting an 8″ hoverboard that:

  • has Bluetooth speakers
  • adjustable LED lights
  • control your hoverboard with an app on your phone.
  • 1-year manufacturer’s warranty
  • a steel frame and a self-balancing scooter that can hold 300 lbs.

That’s only a few points I listed, and each of those adds lots of value to the hoverboard.

Currently, you can get a Powerboard for under $350, but it is just a basic hoverboard. Why not pay an extra $50 and get the Jetson from Target. You’ll be much happier that you did choose to spend the extra bit of money.

The same could be said of the Swagtron T1, T3 and the Hovertrax 2.0. Each of them has less performance, and they are all the same price.

I will be getting more information together to write a much more in-depth review of the Jetson V6.

How to Pair Hoverboard Bluetooth Device to iPhone & Android

The newest hoverboards come with a Bluetooth pairing feature, which enables you to play music from your iPhone or Android through the hoverboard’s own speakers. Music played through your hoverboard’s high-quality speakers is sure to enhance your riding experience.

Who doesn’t want to blast some tunes while on the go? Alternatively, Bluetooth-enabled hoverboards can be used as speakers around the house – just be sure to put your device in park first!

Built-in Bluetooth options have increased the user experience immensely, but, like all things tech, they can sometimes add a bit of complexity to the mix. Once you find yourself in possession of a Bluetooth hoverboard with a built-in speaker, you may find yourself wondering how to sync it with your device.

That’s where we come in.

PAIRING BLUETOOTH HOVERBOARD WITH IPHONE

Step One: Turn your Bluetooth hoverboard on.

Step Two: Open ‘Settings’ on your iPhone.

Step Three: Select ‘Bluetooth’ under ‘Settings’.

Step Four: Select your hoverboard from the list of Bluetooth capable devices – it will typically have a corresponding name to the company that makes your hoverboard, or the model name of your hoverboard with a series of numbers attached. You may need to wait several minutes while your phone’s Bluetooth locates the hoverboard brands.

Step Five: Follow instructions on the iPhone’s screen to sync your hoverboard with your iPhone. Depending on the maker of your hoverboard, it will make a sound to confirm that it has been synced.

Step Six: Open any music mobile app, such as iTunes or Spotify, and press play!

PAIRING BLUETOOTH HOVERBOARD WITH ANDROID

Step One: Tap ‘Settings’ in your Android phone

Step Two: Go to ‘Bluetooth’ and confirm that it is enabled. If it is not, swipe to do so

Step Three: Turn your Bluetooth hoverboard on. Most Bluetooth-enabled hoverboards will make a tonal noise upon powering up

Step Four: Once the hoverboard is on, look under ‘Bluetooth’ on your Android phone to locate the device. It may take several minutes for the phone to locate the hoverboard brands as before with the iPhone

Step Five: Tap the name of your hoverboard in the list and follow on-screen instructions. Depending on the model of your hoverboard it will make a sound to confirm that it has been successfully synced to your Android

Step Six: Open any music mobile app on your Android phone and press play!

TROUBLESHOOTING HOVERBOARD PAIRING WITH IPHONE

Nothing is worse than going through the pairing steps to find that your devices are not syncing! Should this happen to you, first confirm that your phone’s Bluetooth wireless technology is enabled. Then double check that the hoverboard is turned on and fully charged.

If Bluetooth connection is still not occurring:

Step One: Make sure that the two devices are close to each other

Step Two: Check that your iPhone’s iOS is up to date. Older iPhones, such as the iPhone 4, may not be able to pair with Bluetooth hoverboards

If your hoverboard did connect to your iPhone and then stopped working:

Step One: Make sure the hoverboard has an adequate charge

Step Two: If still not working, disconnect the hoverboard and remove it from the Bluetooth devices list. Turn off the iPhone’s Bluetooth wireless technology and the hoverboard, then turn both on again and reconnect following the instructions above

TROUBLESHOOTING HOVERBOARD PAIRING WITH ANDROID

Android version 4.3 or higher works well with all Bluetooth hoverboards. If your Android phone is operating on an older system, check the specifications of your hoverboard or potential purchase to verify that it is compatible with your device.

If your hoverboard is compatible with your Android, take the following steps:

Step One: Make sure that the Bluetooth setting is enabled on your Android

Step Two: Check the charge of your Bluetooth hoverboard. Insufficient battery life may interfere with its ability to connect to your Android phone

Step Three: Make sure the two devices are in close proximity to each other in order to connect

Step Four: Turn off both devices and power back up to reconnect

Troubleshooting Continued

If you’ve tried all of the steps above and nothing seems to be working, here are some additional tips you can try:

  1. Turn off all other Bluetooth devices in the vicinity. Only the hoverboard and your phone should have their Bluetooth capability turned on while trying to establish a connection
  2. Your WiFi router can also interfere with the Bluetooth functionality. Attempt to pair far away from your WiFi router
  3. Check to see if a Driver may be needed to facilitate connection. Techlicious suggests googling the name of your hoverboard device with the word “driver” to find the appropriate option
  4. Check with the manufacturer of your hoverboard if all else fails

Conclusion

While hoverboards with Bluetooth are usually the exact same as a regular hoverboard, having the Bluetooth receiver module and the built-in speakers are definitely a plus if you enjoy your music while on the go.
