PORT PERRY, Ontario, Sep. 19, 2023 – Adamson, a Durham based internationally recognized manufacturer of professional sound systems, is proud to announce its partnership with Winding Roads Festival in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham Region (BBBSND). In its 8th year. the festival is a celebration of local culture, live music, and the region's people. Adamson welcomes a sold-out crowd to its facility to hear great musical acts through its award-winning loudspeakers on September 23rd, 2023.
 

This year’s event welcomes Juno Award Winning headline act ‘The Washboard Union’, with opening acts from Owen Reigling and Lydia Sutherland. Showcasing great artists to the great Port Perry area speaks to Adamson and BBBSND’s commitment to supporting the local community.

 

“The spirit of Winding Roads runs through the veins of staff at our Port Perry headquarters. Our staff don’t only get excited to attend a great concert. We have staff rolling racks of gear, rigging up speakers, preparing parking and building stages – all in support of an event that benefits youth.”

 

Adamson will be rigging up a full CS-Series Intelligent loudspeaker system, consisting of CS10, CS119, and CS7p Loudspeakers. The Adamson-designed deployment is done by the same team that helps deploy sound systems for artists like Drake, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, and many others.

 

Winding Roads is a fundraising event hosted by, and in support of, Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham. The community-rooted organization is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in the community through positive mentoring relationships. The organization has been providing services to the community for over 47 years.

 

“Winding Roads is the biggest fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham,” says Margaret Ayres, BBBSND Executive Director. “We look forward to this event each year. One highlight is when you see the smiles on the children and youth faces as they get to listen in on the soundchecks and meet and greet with the artists. Adamson has been a pivotal part of this festival from day one and we can't thank them enough.”

Winding Roads is proud to support mentoring programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham (BBBSND) and to date have raised over $275,000. Through one-to-one mentoring and group programs, volunteer Mentors help their Little build self-esteem, learn life skills and make connections in their communities. Theya also provide the children and youth from BBBSND a unique experience prior to the concert to watch the sound check, meet the artists and take a peek behind the scenes of the event.
